The Yarcombe Amenities Club serve up a Christmas feast to the village’s senior citizens

It was a special day for senior citizens in Yarcombe who were treated to a delicious Christmas feast.

The annual event hosted and organised by the Yarcombe Amenities Club (YAC), who cook and serve the food, was held in the Jubilee Hall earlier this month.

On the menu this year was prawn cocktail or Ardennes pate and toast to start with roast turkey, potatoes and vegetables with all the trimmings, as well as black forest gateau or Christmas pudding for dessert, followed by cheese and biscuits.

This year the club was joined by 86 local residents.

Funds are raised throughout the year to pay for the annual event.
