More than 400 people turned out in force to help raise more than £4,000 for Devon Air Ambulance Trust.

More than 400 people donned fancy dress and hopped on their bikes for a big fundraiser held in Weston, Honiton.

The annual event, known as ‘The Bike Ride Supporting Devon Air Ambulance Trust’, is in its 17th year.

The event is organised by the Phillips family and since its inception, has netted more than £37,000 for the trust - which relies heavily on donations for its air ambulances to operate.

Family member Adrian said: “We raised just over £4,000 and it still rising.

“It was a very good day - it was our biggest turnout ever in our 17 years of doing it.”

Mr Phillips also thanked Honiton Air Cadets for helping organise car parking and Honiton Tesco for providing fruit and water on the day.
