ACL Properties Ltd wants to build the homes on the site in Allwood, located between Woodmead Road and King Edward Road.

The applicants say the proposals will help redevelop the site, which is ‘unattractive and overgrown’.

An existing small bungalow and garage will be demolished as part of the plans.

The proposals consist of six three-bedroom semi-detached properties with private gardens and a designated parking space.

A cycle storage facility in each home is also included as part of the plans.

The application added: “The site is situated within a largely residential context and is located within walking distance of the majority of Axminster’s amenities, facilities and services.

The application’s fate will be determined by district planners at a later date.
