Council concerned about plan for white plastic window frames in Black Lion Court, Honiton.
WHITE OUT: Use of white plastic window frames in Honiton’s conservation area will not be supported by town councillors.
The owners of Black Lion Court want to use white plastic in the construction of a balcony and two dormer windows, but councillors say they are “unhappy” about such a proposal.
When the plan went before Honiton Town Council’s planning committee two weeks ago, councillors felt they were unable to support the application - because of a lack of information on the proposed dimensions and materials for the balcony.
They agreed to seek advice from East Devon’s conservation officer and were due to discuss the issue again at a meeting last night (Tuesday).
