Plea for police cadets in Axminster

AXMINSTER Town Council would like to see the recently formed Axe Valley Community Police Cadets scheme extend to its area. Nearly 30 teenagers joined the group for 13 to 16 year-olds when Seaton police held a recruitment day last month.

AXMINSTER Town Council would like to see the recently formed Axe Valley Community Police Cadets scheme extend to its area.Nearly 30 teenagers joined the group for 13 to 16 year-olds when Seaton police held a recruitment day last month. Neighbourhood beat manager Pc Darren Herridge said the cadets had been a success in Seaton but that there are currently no plans to set up a similar group in Axminster.
