A winner of a Lions raffle was so overwhelmed when presented with her prize that she gave a genorous donation to the charity.
There was a pleasant surprise waiting for a lucky Honiton resident when she was greeted by two members of the Honiton and District Lions Club on her doorstep. Mrs Wyatt, of Lilley Walk, was presented with a wheelbarrow filled with wine, eggs, bread, an organic veg box, potatoes and apples, donated by local companies, after winning the Lions’ harvest festival wheelbarrow raffle.
Mrs Wyatt was so pleased to win she gave the Lions another donation to help with its work in the community.
The raffle raised 200 on the day and will be presented to the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.
Mrs Wyatt is pictured with the Lions’ president, local businessman Brian Richards, and Lion Bill King.
