BURGLARS attempted to drive through gates to an isolated yard before cutting through a chain to gain access to the site.

A four-berth Ace Quartz touring caravan, with contents and tow bar, along with a secondhand, pink child's mountain bike were stolen.

PC Carly Davies, based in Honiton, is appealing for information about the burglary, which occurred overnight on Friday, June 11, near Dunkeswell.

"The contents of the caravan included camping equipment, such as fold up chairs and a fold-up metal table," PC Davies.

"also inside were numerous children's toys, including a Little Tikes yellow and red plastic slide, a JCB toy digger, an inflatable bouncy castle and various other toys and books."

The burglary victims are keen to be reunited with their property as the toys belong to their young daughter.
