DETECTIVES in Honiton are appealing for witnesses to come forward to help identify a man who is alleged to have sexually assaulted a 24-year-old woman in the town.
DETECTIVES in Honiton are appealing for witnesses to come forward to help identify a man who is alleged to have sexually assaulted a 24-year-old woman in the town.
The woman was approached by the man, who then touched her inappropriately, as she walked under the railway bridge in Streamers Meadows at around 4am on Sunday, January 30.
The man is described as white, with bald/receding hair, aged in his early 30s, 5ft 10ins tall and of a stocky, muscular build.
He was wearing a black waterproof coat and blue jeans.
Police stress this type of incident is extremely rare, but would remind the public to take appropriate safety precautions when making their way home from a night out, such as booking a taxi or walking with a trusted friend.
