POLICE have launched their first cadet scheme in East Devon.Young people aged from 13 to 16 can join the new venture, which will be based at Colyton Town Hall and meet fortnightly from Wednesday, May 27.The Axe Valley Community Cadets will learn community and policing skills and could help out at major events.Seaton Town Council has made a financial contribution towards the group's start-up costs.Officers based in Seaton launched the cadets with an information afternoon in Colyton last Saturday.
