A motorist whose van rolled into a wall in Honiton was found after police took to the sky to track him down.

Police were called on Sunday evening (August 19) after reports of an unattended van hitting a wall in High Street, just before 8pm.

A spokesman for Devon and Cornwall Police said: “The driver returned to the vehicle and left the scene.

“Units including the police helicopter carried out an area search and located the van and driver a short time later.

“No damage was caused to the wall but the van sustained a small amount of damage.”
