Axminster officers want to trace a man of “very large build” in connection with the theft of a hedge cutter

Axminster Police want to trace a man of “very large build” in connection with a theft.

Some time between 2.50pm and 3pm on Friday, July 19, witnesses reported seeing the beefy suspect take a Stihl hedge cutter from the back of a pick-up truck parked in a layby in West Street, while the owner was doing gardening work nearby.

The man put the cutter in his own yellow pick-up vehicle before driving off with it.

Anyone with information about the crime is asked to call Axminster police on 101.
