Ballbearings fired through wondows of two houses at Uplyme

POLICE believe a catapult was used to fire ballbearings through two windows at Uplyme last night (Wednesday).

Panes were shattered at houses in Yawl Hill Lane and Springhead Road.

The attack on the first property took place between 8.10pm and 10.10pm while the other happened at around 9.15pm.

Axminster-based Police and Community Support Officer Andy Trott said ballbearings were found among the broken glass at both properties and they believed these were fired from a moving car.

Anyone with information about either offence is asked to dial 101 in confidence quoting reference numbers KA12/193 or KA12/194.
