Police name driver killed in Honiton collision

Witnesses to the incident still being sought - call 101 if you can assist police in their enquiries.

A driver who was killed in a crash in Honiton last week has been named by police.

David Leonard Eaves, 50, died after his car left the road and overturned in a field near Honiton Showground, near the old A30.

Emergency services were called at 8am after his vehicle was found in the field at Fenny Bridges.

Mr Eaves, from Torquay, sustained serious injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

A spokesman for Devon and Cornwall Police confirmed his next of kin has been informed.

They added that the force is appealing for witnesses to the collision - anyone who can assist is asked to email 101@dc.police.uk or phone 101, quoting log number 89 of 27/04/16.
