AXMINSTER police have stepped up patrols in an area of town, following complaints from residents over rowdy behaviour.

The Herald reported last month that people living near Willhayes Park said youths swear, vandalise the area and leave a mass of litter.

Neighbourhood beat manager PC Darren Herridge said during the monthly council meeting that there had been no incidents or alcohol seized.
