POLICE riot vans spotted on the A30 travelling towards Honiton today (Wednesday, April 7) were in training, officers have revealed.
A concerned eyewitness contacted the Midweek Herald at 1.30pm, saying he had spotted three riot vans speeding up the road.
He said: "I was alarmed to see the riot vans flashing in front of me. I wondered what was going on and thought it must be a big incident.
