A POLICE community surgery will be held at Weycroft hall in Millwey, Axminster on May 22.
Residents are invited to attend the event from 7pm to 9pm and raise any concerns they have.
Neighbourhood beat manager Pc Darren Herridge said: "We want to gain empathy with the community. In the past it has been poorly attended - either people are happy living where they are living, or there is a general apathy that nothing will get done.
"I would like to think it is the former but it is probably the latter people who do not come out. But unless people tell us their concerns, we are not going to know.
"We will continue to do what we think the town needs really other issues need to be addressed.
