POLICE are warning the public of the dangers of 'tombstoning' at Axmouth Harbour.PC Steve Speariett said: "What may appear to be harmless fun can lead to severe injuries and death."Whilst we do not want to stop people enjoying themselves, it must be remembered that it is a working harbour with both fishing and leisure boats sailing in and out."The entrance also acts as a funnel leading to very fast and dangerous currents, which could conceal hidden dangers below the water."A local by-law prohibits bathing the area.
