Stationers and printers A Dimond and Co has filled the premises vacated by fashion store Beauchamp Place, which left after a 28-year stint in the town.

For the previous ten years, the stationers had traded from the end of a passageway on High Street.

Jan Dimond, owner and managing director of A Dimond and Co, said: “As soon as I knew number 72 would be available, I started making plans with the vision of becoming a High Street shop once more.”

Jan unexpectedly found herself filling the management shoes last summer, following the death of her late husband Anthony Dimond.

She added: “The staff have been amazing. They have worked so hard and have come together as a dedicated and supportive team.

“I know I couldn’t have managed the last ten months without them.”
