Green-fingered buyers helped a plant sale in Feniton raise more than £4,000 for the village church.
A popular two-day event was held in Church Lane, which also saw a high demand for cream teas which were being sold at a nearby property.
Val Stringer, chair of Friends of St Andrew’s Church, said: “The plant sale attracted hundreds of people to buy all sorts of shrubs, trees, and plants.
“Mr Jonathan Cumming kindly opened his garden for coffee and cream teas on the lawn.
“A book stall, jams and chutneys, greetings cards, and bric-a-brac were also very well supported and so many were interested to see woodcarving demonstrated.”
A total of £4,733 was made for the upkeep of St Andrew’s Church.
Val added: “The Friends of St Andrew’s would like to thank everyone who came for their support in giving and buying.”
