'Positive' step forward for The Thelma Hulbert Gallery

AN extensive feasibility study on the future expansion of the Thelma Hulbert Gallery, in Honiton, has had a positive outcome. That s what deputy mayor and East Devon culture champion Councillor Vivienne Ash told Honiton Town Council last week.

AN extensive feasibility study on the future expansion of the Thelma Hulbert Gallery, in Honiton, has had a "positive" outcome.

That's what deputy mayor and East Devon culture champion Councillor Vivienne Ash told Honiton Town Council last week.

She said plans to extend the gallery to the whole of Elmfield House were likely to materialise sooner rather than later.

The Arts Council is to part-fund the project, Councillor Ash stressed.

"I think things will start moving quickly," she told fellow councillors.

"Alternative venues are being pursued for the register office. It aims to stay in Honiton.
