More than 500 households in the Honiton area were without power during the evening of Saturday, February 10. Western Power Distribution confirmed that 546 customers lost their power due to a transformer fault.

Power was returned within the hour.

The firm thanked customers for their patience and apologised for the inconvenience caused.

In an unrelated incident, more than 19,000 homes were without power in Exmouth on the same evening.
