While the council are congratulating themselves on how many potato peelings they re recycling, what about the slightly more pressing issue of housing people! Why aren t they negotiating to buy all these new flats and houses that have been empty for ages,

While the council are congratulating themselves on how many potato peelings they're recycling, what about the slightly more pressing issue of housing people! Why aren't they negotiating to buy all these new flats and houses that have been empty for ages, and then rent them to local people?
