Seaton and District Lions Club has presented gift card prizes and certificates to the winners of this year’s peace poster contest.

Pupils from Seaton and Colyton primary schools took the first step in the contest which is sponsored by Seaton and District Lions Club with the theme this year being ‘The Future of Peace’.

Winning posters were selected for originality, artistic merit and portrayal of this year’s theme and the prizes were presented by Lion President Clive Millman.

Each school has one overall first prize winner. This winning poster, one from each school, will now advance to face stiff competition throughout the South West, the rest of the UK and finally the international rounds of the contest.

The youngsters were rewarded for their efforts with gift cards and an Achievement Certificate for the first prize winner and a Certificate of Appreciation for the school.
