ST Andrew Primary school pupils processed through Chardstock for the opening of their new 3million school today.
The children were lead by the school head, Morag Kingsbury, and Revd Judith Roberts.
Chair of governors Dorothy Williamson said said: "The opening of the new school is absolutely brilliant. We are really pleased with it. It's everything we wanted it to be.
"We have been working hard for this for a long time and it's good to see the children in the new school and they're really excited about it.
"The procession went very well. A lot of parents came along and followed on. We had a special assembly at the school and parents had a chance to look around. It was a very special morning.
