Fire causes 60 per cent of damage to roof.
FIRE crews were mobilised to deal with a property fire in Axminster after reports of smoke issuing from the roof.
Appliances from Axminster, Colyton and Lyme Regis attended the incident in Castle Hill yesterday (Thursday) at 3.22pm, which involved a range of outbuildings divided into four compartments. .
Breathing apparatus, hose reels, covering jet and a thermal imaging camera were used to tackle the blaze, which caused 60 per cent of damage to the roof and also severely damaged the compartments.
Police also attended the scene to close the road.
