PUBLIC spirited Herald readers have reunited young theft victims with their missing bicycles.

PUBLIC spirited Herald readers have reunited young theft victims with their missing bicycles.Following last week's front page story, describing the distress caused following the thefts from a driveway in Winchester Close, Feniton, members of the public sprang into action.PC James Tyrell said: "I am happy to report that all three pedal cycles have been located in Ottery St Mary and returned to the rightful owners."Good spirited members of the public contacted Ottery St Mary police, informing us they had taken custody of the pedal cycles for safe keeping pending identification by the losers."Joel Campbell, six, Lester Churchill, eight, and Kieran Churchill, nine, were distraught to discover the bikes missing following a family barbecue in Feniton on Saturday, August 30.Joel was so affected by the theft of his bike he would not go to bed without a light on.PC Tyrell is making further inquiries.Anybody with information about the thefts is urged to contact him at Ottery police station on 08452 777444.
