Pupils’ delight after Her Majesty responds to card

The pupils made a card for the Queen as part of learning the alphabet in January.
Youngsters from Upottery Pre-school received a royal treat when they sent a card to the Queen - only to receive a letter of thanks back.

“When they came to the letter Q, they decided to send a card to Her Majesty to show her what they were up to.
They were delighted to get a response back from Buckingham Palace’s lady-in-waiting, Richenda Elton, who wrote: “The Queen thought it was so kind of you to send this to her and greatly appreciated the care you have taken with your lovely card.”

The letter also expressed the Queen’s best wishes to the pupils, who will display it in the classroom.
