Pupils from St Mary’s, Axminster, All Saints, Kilmington and Seaton primary schools recently took part in the Devon School’s Winter Ability Games in Plymouth.

The pupils combined to make an Axe Valley team to compete in the archery competition, and came third in the county.

Youngster Aridus, from Seaton, achieved the highest individual score, while others were presented with the ‘spirit of the games’ awards for their passion.

Mrs Karen Adair, of St Mary’s Catholic Primary School, said: “Many thanks to Anne Harris and the teaching assistants who accompanied the children on the day with additional support from sports leaders Jonny Dunn, Cassie Butler and Ellie Marok from Colyton Grammar School.”
