Pupils get the bear necessities for dinner

Axminster Primary Academy stages a Paddington Lunch

Marmalade sandwiches and Peruvian potatoes were on the menu when youngsters at Axminster Primary Academy held a Paddington Lunch in honour of the famous fictional bear.

Mayor and mayoress Douglas and Joy Hull were the special guests and took along their own childhood bears named Ted and Fuzzy, respectively.

Pupils enjoyed some tasty treats which included Wellington bake (vegetarian sausage roll) and filled battered suitcase (jacket potato with triple cheese).The vegetables included duffle coat toggles (carrot batons) sticky paw prints (sweetcorn) all topped off with floppy red hat (tomato ketchup).
