Neighbourhood beat team show pupils their van during school transportation day
OFFICERS from the Seaton neighbourhood policing team were given a grilling - and to hand over their hats - when they visited Beer Primary School.
PCSOs Mike McGauley and Chris Bolsover were invited along to take part in the pupils’ “transportation day”.
During the event, the children took turns looking at their van, climbing into the front cabin and the cell at the back, and trying on police hats and uniform.
Other vehicles on view included a coastguard car, two tractors, two sports cars - and a horse.
PCSO Bolsover said: “it was great meeting the children. These sort of visits are a great opportunity for us to meet the youngsters and obviously for them to meet us and get to know who we are. They all seemed to have fun with the uniform and investigating the van and asked us a lot of question.”
