Youngsters at St Mary’s RC School in Axminster try out Victorian games and dances during a special themed day

Pupils at St Mary’s Roman Catholic School, in Axminster, turned the clocks back to Victorian times for a special themed day.

They dressed in period costumes and took part in a number of events to reflect the era – including traditional games and dances, amongst them the Can-Can!

The pupils also got an insight into what lessons were like for school children in Victorian times.
