Purse recovered after Herald website appeal

Axminster woman reunited with her precious family photos

A grateful Axminster woman has been reunited with her lost purse – and the precious family photos it contained.

Her desperate appeal for the return of the pictures was reported on the Midweek Herald website last week, along with the offer of a small reward.

Now the purse, which was lost in South Street, on February 26, has been recovered after being handed in to a local charity shop, its contents, including bank cards and the photos, still intact.

“Many thanks to all concerned in its safe return,” said the owner.
