Honiton youngster Tyrabeth Thraxton, aged eight, was disappointed not to be able to visit Buckingham Palace on a recent trip to London.

So, when she got back home, she decided to write to The Queen asking if she could come to tea with her some time soon.

Now, to her delight, Her Majesty has written back. She has told Tyrabeth that she’s a bit busy at the moment but she has invited the youngster to tour The Palace and sent her lots of photos and leaflets about her royal home, in the hope that she will be able to visit in the near future.
