THE chairman of Honiton and District Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Ralph Hibbert, spent 180 hours sifting through documents and planning guidelines following Tesco's bid to relocate to Ottery Moor Lane.Addressing the chamber's annual meeting, held at St Rita's Conference Centre last Wednesday, Mr Hibbert said: "It's not been an easy year."I'd like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to the Ottery Moor Lane Committee, and in particular the joint chairmen Frank Horrell and Mike Bonetta, for their tireless efforts and mutual sharing of resources and ideas."We've won round one of what could be an open-ended fight."I'd like to write to Tesco and ask them to withdraw.
