The Cancer Research Relay for Life in Lyme Regis raised £20,000 for the charity.

The Cancer Research Relay for Life in Lyme Regis raised £20,000 for the charity.The 24 hour weekend event invited the community to celebrate the lives of those who have survived cancer and remember those who have died. Six teams of up to 15 people took part, setting up camp, and taking it in turns to run or walk around a track. A Candle of Hope ceremony was held at dusk. Chairman of Cancer Research UK's Relay for Life in Lyme Regis Rikey Austin said: "I'm flabbergasted with the amount raised. "Everybody who did it is signing up for next year as they enjoyed it so much. It was an incredible community event. I couldn't imagine how emotional it would be.
