Reported crimes in Honiton include violence and theft

Incidents were reported between Monday, March 14, and Sunday, April 10.

Nearly 60 crimes were recorded in Honiton in the last month, police figures have revealed.

Of those incidents, five were cases of violence, eight were common assaults, two were public order offences and two were sexual offences.

Police also recorded three burglaries of a dwelling, one burglary of a non-dwelling and one vehicle-related crime.

There were also six reported incidents of shoplifting, seven thefts and 12 incidents of criminal damage - several relating to the same incident.

The remaining offences were three incidents of drug possession, one report of drink-driving and seven offences classed as miscellaneous.

Of those crimes, 29 are still under investigation.

They were reported between Monday, March 14, and Sunday, April 10.

There were three fewer crimes reported this year in comparison to the same period last year.

Anyone who witnesses a crime or has any information about an offence is asked to call police on 101, quoting the relevant crime reference number.
