Lifeboat and coastguards respond to 999 call from a member of the public
EMERGENCY services were scrambled after a 999 report of a capsized vessel near the mouth of the River Axe on Saturday afternoon.
Beer Coastguards and Sidmouth Independent Lifeboat were sent to the scene to investigate at around 4.30pm
Once there it was established the vessel, that the member of the public had reported being in trouble, was a speedboat which was not in any difficulties.
