WEST Dorset residents are being invited to have their say on how to improve the quality of life in the area.

A draft community plan has been drawn up by the West Dorset Partnership, which is made up of public, private, voluntary and community organisations. It sets out how services such as housing and transport will be developed over the next 16 years.

The plan identifies priorities that are important for West Dorset, covering the environment, community safety, culture and leisure, health and the economy.

Chairman of the Partnership David Webb said: "It is vital that local people help shape the plan and we are keen to hear what residents think is important, and about any issues that might have been overlooked.

"We need to get the priorities right so we can help shape a positive sustainable future."

The plan is available in libraries and Tourist Information Centres and can be viewed online at www.dorsetforyou.com/communityplan/west For more information email westdorsetpartnership@westdorset-dc.gov.uk or call 01305 252305.
