A RETIRED Honiton Community College teacher has started a new chapter in life - as a published novelist.
Writer Tony Lambert, who formerly taught modern languages, has seen his novel, FLASH: A Diary of Disaster, go on sale through the largest book distributor in the world.
Described as “a stunning novel” by the Strategic Publishing Group, the book centres on four main characters and tells a story, in three parts, about a series of events influenced by the presence of FLASH, a new breed of American micro-missiles.
The devastating nuclear devices have been created to cause maximum death and destruction - and, while there are those who desire world peace, there are others who want to possess FLASH to gain almighty power.
The novel’s shocking conclusion is influenced by a chance encounter.
Mr Lambert, who was a popular teacher in Honiton, has travelled extensively and, in between writing, currently works part-time as a tour manager, mainly in France and Spain.
He lives in Branscombe and is married with grown-up children.
