Retirement Villages, which owns Gittish Hill Park, near Honiton, has been shortlisted for a national award recognising outstanding contribution to the healthcare industry.

Retirement Villages, which owns Gittish Hill Park, near Honiton, has been shortlisted for a national award recognising outstanding contribution to the healthcare industry.The national company, which owns and manages a dozen age-exclusive villages, has beaten off stiff competition to secure a place in the final of the Health Investor awards.Retirement Villages is competing in the residential and domiciliary care category, which aims to pinpoint innovative schemes that combine care and assisted living, offer a range of tenures and are integrated within the community."We are delighted to have been shortlisted for such a prestigious award," said Retirement Villages' chief executive Jon Gooding. "It is an endorsement for Retirement Villages' not just as a property provider but as a company which takes its' on-going responsibility towards the care provision for residents and the wider community very seriously."The winners of the Health Investor awards will be announced at a glittering ceremony at the Hilton Hotel in London's Park Lane on June 3.
