POLICE are advising people that three roads will be closed in Seaton for The Grizzly on Sunday, March 8.

Castle Hill and Marine Place will be closed from 9am to 11am and The Esplanade will be closed from 9am to 4pm.

Police have worked in partnership with the race organisers and the highways department to provide safety to the runners and spectators, and cause the least amount of disruption to other road users.

Any vehicle found at The Esplanade after 9am will be recovered by a force recovery company and will be released at a cost to the owner. Last year two vehicles were removed from here.

Neighbourhood beat manager PC Roy Hutter said: "We are asking drivers to travel with care. This is a large event and spectators travel for a considerable distance to support friends and family.

"Your patience is gratefully appreciated through what is a gruelling test of fitness, mental attitude and determination. Thank you for your cooperation.
