A group of regulars from Honiton Running Club upped their game to tackle the highest free-standing mountain on the earth last month.
The four-person team, consisting of Paul Lowman, Wendy Williams, Kevin Hawker and Alison Guest, reached the top of the 19,341ft-high Mount Kilimanjaro, in Tanzania, Africa.
The mission was fronted by Paul, who wanted to do something big after he had to cancel a trip to the Everest base camp.
The 61-year-old, who lives in Honiton, said: “It was wonderful - a life changing experience.
“It was a long walk up to the top - just over seven hours -and took about three hours getting down.
“It was certainly an experience to remember.”
The team had to tackle all sorts of different terrain during the eight-day trek, from hard scrubby deserts and open moorland and rainforest.
But Paul, who is an experienced climber and scrabbler, said he had no regrets - and is already thinking about what his next journey will be.
