Yachting enthusiast Sally Holman re-elected for a third term as Lyme Regis’ First Citizen

There will be no change in the leadership at Lyme Regis Town Council in the coming year.

Members re-elected mayor Sally Holman for a third term at their meeting yesterday (Wednesday).

She remains’ First Citizen after defeating the only other candidate for the job – Cllr Chris Clipson – by six votes to five. Cllr Holman’s deputy, Anita Williams, was returned unopposed.

The two women will be officially installed in their posts for another term at the traditional mayor-making ceremony in the resort’s ancient Guildhall in May.
