... along with musical ties, foot spas and CDs. British Heart Foundation launches new appeal.

Over two thirds of people in the South West received at least one gift they didn’t want this Christmas - including saucy underwear and the X Factor winner’s single.

According to research by the British Heart Foundation, which is launching an Unwanted Gifts Appeal to re-stock its charity shops, musical ties, digital photo frames and foot spas were also unpopular gifts.

However, British Heart Foundation shops in the South West love the gifts others don’t; so you know where to take your unwanted toiletries, pyjamas, festive ornaments and other unwanted presents.

The hops sell over 80,000 items a day so these donations are crucial.

Area manager Darren Irwin said: “People often receive perfectly good presents that are simply not to their taste, are the wrong size, or they may have been given two of the same item.

“Whether it’s a dress that doesn’t fit, a CD that’s not to your liking, or a book you’ve already read - your donations mean a great deal to heart patients in the South West.”
