Archant

Last year’s event was hit with strong winds and slanting rain, but failed to deter the crowds.

The popular Honiton Sausage and Cider Festival has been postponed until next year, organisers have announced.

They posted on Twitter: “A year off for Honiton’s Sausage and Cider Festival after last years complete wash out, the weather was very cruel but we shall be back 2017.”

Last year, heavy rain and winds hit the festival, which was held at Honiton Showground.

Despite the foul weather, there was still a strong turnout as thousands of people braved the elements to party throughout the festival.

The event is organised by Honiton-based bloodbikes charity Devon Freewheelers.
