AXMINSTER'S Chamber of Trade is launching an initiative to fund new Christmas Lights for the town.

The chamber, in partnership with Axminster Printing, will sell recycling bin stickers to identify types of waste.

Available in yellow, white, and in four styles, the stickers will be on offer from between 6.25 and 6.95 - with 1.50p of each set sold going to the lights' fund.

Shane Morgan, Chairman of The Chamber said: "This initiative not only makes the streets look tidier, it also has a very positive result in making Christmas in Axminster a more magical time for everyone, especially the children".

Axminster Community Primary School and The Axe Valley Community College are also taking part, with the donations going to both schools funds.

Order Forms will be available from shops all over the town. You simply fill in the form and return it to Axminster Printing, in West Street. Stickers will be ready in three to five days.

A leaflet will also be delivered to homes in Musbury, Kilmington and some parts of the town. Bumper and window stickers will also be available at various points in the town with a donation to the fund.
