The youngsters were assisted by the town mayor and a councillor.

Honiton’s Wall Scout Troop cleaned the town’s war memorial outside of St Paul’s Church.

They all worked really hard to get all the dirt and grime off it.

Town mayor Cllr John Zarczynski and town councillor Duncan Sheridan-Shaw helped clean the memorial as well.

He told scout leader Helen Turner: “What a great bunch of scouts you have.

“What you scouts did this evening is showing young people working for their community and passing the good feeling on throughout the town.”
