RSPCA calls fire brigade for help.

THE RSPCA called the emergency services for assistance after a seagull was found trapped in an East Devon television aerial last night (Sunday).

A fire engine from Sidmouth attended a property in All Saints Road in a bid to assist the charity with the bird’s release.

Firefighters used a 105 ladder, roof ladder, scene lighting and height safety equipment to release the gull, which was left in the care of an RSPCA officer.
