Police and coastguards scrambled but elderly woman found safe and well near a local church
COASTGUARDS were scrambled after reports that an 89-year-old Lyme Regis woman had gone missing late last night (Tuesday).
Police called them in to search for the woman who had disappeared after a visit to a local church.
But as coastguard units were beginning their hunt along the coastline, at around 11.15pm, Dorset Police reported that the lady had been located safe and well, not far from the Church.
