A SEATON group is calling for knitters to help meet a Big Knit Challenge for charity.
The 'Knit and Natter' group aims to knit 3,100 'body-warmers' for a new range of 'veg-pots' in aid of Age Concern.
Last year, people joined in knitting little hats for Smoothie drinks' bottles - raising over 2,600.
Age Concern volunteer Wendy Millett said: "Last year the response was astonishing - so many people got involved with the knitting and we raised a whopping amount of money to help keep up Age Concern Devon's work in Seaton."
The group is looking for help with knitting, donating yarns, or with transporting the finished items to London.
Patterns are available from Age Concern volunteers at Number One on Wednesday mornings or Thursday afternoons, or Seaton Hobby Shop. For more information call Wendy on (01297) 625256 or Anne on (01297) 24311. The target closing date is October 16.
